James Gunn’s next chapter in the DC Universe has reached a major milestone, as Superman: Man of Tomorrow has officially wrapped principal photography.

Gunn announced the news on social media, confirming that filming on the highly anticipated follow-up to 2025’s Superman is complete ahead of its theatrical release next summer.

“That’s a wrap on principal photography for Man of Tomorrow,” Gunn wrote. “Truly a joyful experience and I have immense gratitude to my cast and crew.”

The filmmaker also shared photos commemorating the final day on set, including one showing Nicholas Hoult, who returns as Lex Luthor, jumping into a lake following the production’s final shot. Gunn later confirmed that the movie filmed for 93 days, one day longer than Superman.

Man of Tomorrow will once again star David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan returning as Lois Lane and Hoult reprising his role as Lex Luthor.

This time around, however, Superman and Luthor will find themselves on the same side when they are forced to confront an even greater threat: Brainiac, played by Lars Eidinger.

The sequel is also shaping up to be one of the biggest gatherings of DCU characters yet. Isabela Merced returns as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Milly Alcock as Supergirl. Aaron Pierrewill make the jump from HBO’s Lanterns to the big screen as John Stewart, while Xolo Maridueña returns as Blue Beetle.

Other returning characters include Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen and Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, while Adria Arjona is also part of the ensemble as Maxima.

With principal photography now complete, Man of Tomorrow moves into post-production as Gunn and DC Studios prepare the next major theatrical installment of their expanding DC Universe.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow is scheduled to hit theaters on July 9, 2027.

Tim Curry, the legendary British actor whose unforgettable performances in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, IT, Clue and countless other projects made him one of Hollywood’s most recognizable character actors, has died. He was 80.

Curry died Tuesday, August 25, at his home in Los Angeles, according to multiple reports. His death comes after years of health struggles following a major stroke in 2012.

Born Timothy James Curry in England in 1946, Curry began his professional career on the stage, joining the original London production of Hair in 1968. It was theater that would eventually lead him to the role that changed his career forever.

Curry originated the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1973 London production of The Rocky Horror Show before bringing the character to the big screen in 1975’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show. While the film was not initially a major success, it eventually became one of cinema’s most enduring cult classics through its legendary midnight screenings and audience participation.

Curry’s fearless performance as Frank-N-Furter became a defining piece of pop culture and remained closely associated with the actor throughout his career.

But Curry’s work extended far beyond Rocky Horror.

Horror fans knew him as the terrifying Pennywise the Dancing Clown in the 1990 television adaptation of Stephen King’s IT. His performance helped turn Pennywise into a horror icon decades before the character returned to theaters.

Curry was equally memorable as Wadsworth in the 1985 cult comedy Clue and as the imposing Lord of Darkness in Ridley Scott’s Legend. His extensive film credits also included Annie, The Hunt for Red October, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Three Musketeers, Muppet Treasure Island, Charlie’s Angels and Scary Movie 2.

His career also included decades of stage and voice work. Curry earned three Tony Award nominations, including recognition for his performances in Amadeus, My Favorite Year and Monty Python’s Spamalot. He also became a prolific voice actor, lending his distinctive voice to numerous animated series, films and video games.

In 2012, Curry suffered a major stroke that significantly affected his mobility. Although the health setback limited his live-action work, he continued making appearances and taking on select projects. He later returned to the world of Rocky Horror as the Criminologist in Fox’s 2016 television adaptation.

Curry released his memoir, Vagabond, in 2025 and participated in celebrations surrounding the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, giving fans another opportunity to celebrate the performer behind one of cinema’s most enduring characters.

Across more than five decades, Curry built a career unlike almost anyone else’s. Whether audiences remember him as Frank-N-Furter, Pennywise, Wadsworth, Darkness or one of the countless characters brought to life by his unmistakable voice, his performances left an impact that stretched across film, television, theater and generations of fans.

Warner Bros. may be heading back to Bedrock, and Ryan Gosling is helping lead the way.

Gosling and his Open Invite producing partner Jessie Henderson are reportedly in the early stages of developing a new live-action Flintstones movie for Warner Bros. Discovery. Rather than simply rebooting the adventures of Fred and Barney, however, the project is expected to focus on a grown-up Bamm-Bamm Rubble.

According to Deadline, the project is still very early in development, with Gosling and Henderson currently searching for a writer to take on the film. No director or cast members have been announced, and Gosling himself has not been confirmed to appear in the movie.

Bamm-Bamm was introduced as the adopted son of Barney and Betty Rubble and became one of the most recognizable younger characters in The Flintstones. Known for his incredible strength as a child, Bamm-Bamm eventually appeared as a teenager alongside Pebbles Flintstone in the animated series The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show.

That series followed the two characters as teenagers attending Bedrock High School, dating and navigating life outside their parents’ shadows. The new movie’s focus on an adult Bamm-Bamm could give Warner Bros. an opportunity to explore an entirely different generation of Bedrock.

It would also mark another attempt to bring The Flintstones into live action.

The 1994 movie The Flintstones starred John Goodman as Fred Flintstone, Rick Moranis as Barney Rubble, Elizabeth Perkins as Wilma Flintstone and Rosie O’Donnell as Betty Rubble. The film became a major box-office success despite mixed reviews.

A second live-action film, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, arrived in 2000 with a new cast and served as a prequel focusing on the characters when they were younger.

More than 25 years later, Warner Bros. now appears ready to take another crack at Bedrock — this time with Gosling behind the project and Bamm-Bamm stepping into the spotlight.

With development still in its earliest stages, there is currently no release date for the new Flintstones movie.
