Tom Holland Could Earn More Than $100 Million From Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Tom Holland is reportedly heading toward one of the biggest single-film paydays in Hollywood history thanks to the massive success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

According to a new report from TheWrap, Holland is expected to earn more than $100 million for his latest outing as Peter Parker. The enormous payday comes from a combination of his upfront salary and a lucrative backend deal tied to the film’s box office performance.

Holland reportedly received a base salary of at least $20 million for Brand New Day, roughly double the reported $10 million base salary he earned for Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, the real money comes from his participation in the movie’s profits.

Three individuals familiar with Holland’s deal told TheWrap that his compensation could climb beyond $100 million as backend bonuses are added. Even more significantly, Holland’s backend participation is reportedly uncapped, meaning there is no predetermined ceiling on how much he can ultimately earn from the film.

The massive payday follows the historic theatrical performance of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film recently crossed $2 billion at the worldwide box office, becoming only the eighth movie in history to reach the milestone. It accomplished the feat during just its third week in theaters.

The success continues an extraordinary summer for Holland, who also appeared in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, another major 2026 box office hit.

Holland’s rise as one of Hollywood’s highest-paid stars is particularly remarkable considering where his Spider-Man journey began. His compensation has increased dramatically since he first appeared as Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe a decade ago.

With Brand New Day still playing in theaters and Holland’s backend bonuses reportedly having no cap, his eventual earnings could climb significantly higher before the film completes its theatrical run.

Ryan Gosling’s Ghost Rider Gets Official 2028 Release Date From Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios has officially set a release date for Ghost Rider, giving fans a firm date for Ryan Gosling’s debut as the Spirit of Vengeance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The upcoming Ghost Rider movie will hit theaters on July 28, 2028, filling out another major piece of Marvel Studios’ post-Avengers: Secret Wars theatrical slate.

Gosling was officially announced as Marvel’s new Ghost Rider during San Diego Comic-Con in July. The film will be directed by Shawn Levy, who previously helmed Deadpool & Wolverine and is also working with Gosling on Star Wars: Starfighter. Jonathan Tropper is writing the screenplay.

The project will mark the first standalone Ghost Rider movie produced by Marvel Studios. Nicolas Cage previously portrayed Johnny Blaze in 2007’s Ghost Rider and its 2011 sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, while Gabriel Luna played Robbie Reyes in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel has yet to reveal major story details for the upcoming film, including whether Gosling’s version will officially be Johnny Blaze. However, the actor’s casting brings one of Marvel’s biggest supernatural characters into the MCU at a time when the franchise is preparing to enter a new era following the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga.

Ghost Rider will also be part of a packed 2028 lineup for Marvel Studios. The studio’s new X-Men movie is scheduled for May 5, 2028, while Black Panther 3 will arrive on December 15, 2028.

With Gosling leading the film and Levy behind the camera, Ghost Rider is quickly shaping up to be one of Marvel Studios’ biggest upcoming projects.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day [marvel studios]

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially entered one of the most exclusive clubs in box office history.

The latest Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures blockbuster has surpassed $2 billion at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Spider-Man movie in history to reach the milestone. The film currently stands at approximately $2.022 billion globally after just three weekends in theaters.

That total includes approximately $785.8 million from North America and more than $1.2 billion from international markets, continuing an extraordinary theatrical run that has already seen the film break multiple records.

Even more impressively, Brand New Day became the second-fastest movie in history to reach $2 billion, trailing only Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame, which crossed the mark in just 11 days.

The achievement also allows Brand New Day to officially surpass Spider-Man: No Way Home as the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever. No Way Home finished its theatrical run with approximately $1.92 billion worldwide, a total Brand New Day has managed to eclipse in only a matter of weeks.

Tom Holland’s latest outing as Peter Parker is now just the eighth movie in history to surpass $2 billion worldwide, joining Avatar, Avengers: Endgame, Ne Zha 2, Avatar: The Way of Water, Titanic, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avengers: Infinity War.

The film also remained No. 1 at the domestic box office during its third weekend, earning another estimated $70 millionand pushing its North American total to $785.8 million. That puts it within striking distance of Spider-Man: No Way Home’s $814.9 million domestic total as its record-breaking theatrical run continues.

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day still performing strongly around the world, the question now isn’t whether the movie will become the biggest Spider-Man film ever. It already has. The question is just how high Peter Parker can ultimately swing.
