Captain America: Civil War

SPIDEY VS THE WINTER SOLDIER IN NEW ‘CIVIL WAR’ TV SPOT

Published

on

Only 10 days left until ‘Captain America: Civil War‘ hits theaters.  A new tv spot has revealed a little more into how Spider-Man will be portrayed since coming back to the MCU.

“You have a metal arm? That is awesome dude!”

It would appear as though Marvel won’t be “grounding” spidey too much as far as his strength level.  Everyone has at one point or another seemed to have a tough time fighting with Bucky.  Spidey stops his advances with one hand and jokes while doing it.  The character’s humor seems to be intact as well.  Tom Holland so far seems to be giving exactly what they wanted from the character.  A high school teen with superpowers, trying to find his place.

In ‘Captain America: Civil War’, governments around the world hold Earth’s Mightiest Heroes accountable for their actions, despite the amount of lives they’ve saved. Heroes divide as Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) butt heads, and fists, while fighting for what they believe in!

CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR: MIXED REVIEWS ON THE NEW LOOK OF SPIDER-MAN

Published

on

Today the internet exploded with the release of the new ‘Captain America: Civil War’ trailer.  But it wasn’t so much the trailer itself that had fans talking.  It was the first glimpse of the rebooted Spider-Man entering the MCU.

I have to say, I didn’t mind the new look.  But I’m not sure if it was just my excitement for seeing Spidey back in the MCU or if it was actually the costume.  Some fans have taken to social media to share some not so great opinions.

Others have defended the new look saying that its a throwback to the old school spidey costumes, with the smaller eyes.

I personally think, we fan-boys and girls tend to jump to conclusions about the introduction of anticipated heroes.  Most times we get an “Out of context” look at what may be an introductory costume or look.  Directors often do this in cinema to get fans talking.  Negative or positive, we are talking.  And that makes for ticket sales.

In the end, I believe Spider-Man will evolve and his look will eventually resemble what we are accustom to seeing on screen.  We have to remember this incarnation is starting as a high school kid who is trying to find himself in the world of MCU.

What do you think of the new look of Spidey? Let us know in the comments!
